I don’t know if King David ever endured an actual storm from mother nature. But it’s obvious from reading the Bible that his life was filled with many personal storms. For starters, his brothers disliked him. Additionally, a jealous King Saul tried to kill him on more than one occasion. His own son Absalom attempted a coup against David’s throne.
Psalms of consolation
Psalm 9:9
“The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.”
Psalm 22:24
“For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; nor has He hidden His face from Him; but when he cried to Him, He heard.”
Psalm 23:4
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
Psalm 27:1
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

In conclusion, I pray these psalms of comfort uplift your spirit in whatever storm you are experiencing. You may have lost everything but God knows. More importantly He cares for you. Even in the dark times of life you have someone to turn to to find peace and rest for your soul.
