What are the things of the world according to the Bible?
The word of God says in 1 John 2:15: “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. As believers, it is necessary to know clearly what the world is in order for us to be kept from loving it and from being deceived and distracted by it.

When we are told that we should not love the world, the bible is referring to the world’s corrupt value system. Satan is the god of this world, and he has his own value system contrary to God (2 Corinthians 4: 4).

1 John 2:16 details exactly what Satan’s system promotes: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Every sin imaginable can be summed up in these three evils; envy, adultery, pride, lies, selfishness, and many more emerge from those three roots.

As we can see «not be contaminated with the world», it is much deeper than what we create. With these verses you can preach a nice reflection.

We hope that each of these verses we understand what are the things of the world and the quotes that tell us about the path of life, as well as not to imitate what is found here. Without a doubt a challenge that we must meet!
